On September 25, Spiri’s President, Patrick Edwards-Daugherty, Bruce Martin of Jasco Applied Sciences, and Stephane Blouin of Defence Research and Development Canada, participated on a panel discussion at the Oceans 2024 conference held in Halifax between September 23 and September 26 this year. The panel, entitled Arctic Defence: Securing Canada’s Arctic covered a range of technological, regulatory and security challenges in the underwater, surface, and aerial domains.

According to the Oceans 2024 conference website, “Information is the key to security in any area… Canadian companies have the capability to work with Canada’s military to better understand the Arctic domain and… explore where Canada needs to focus going forward.”
