Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of UAV technology, and we are looking for a skilled and driven Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our dynamic team.
About You:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Engineering Technologist with a strong work ethic and background in electrical systems, embedded systems, and power management. In this role, you will work closely with our engineers and R&D teams to develop, test, and maintain the electrical and control systems that power our drones. Your contributions will directly impact the performance, safety, and reliability of our UAV products.
Responsibilities:
* Circuit Design & PCB Layout: Design and develop electrical circuits for drone systems, including power management, sensor integration, and motor control. Experience with multilayer PCB design and working with high-density interconnects (HDI) is a must. * Battery Systems & Power Distribution: Design and implement battery management systems (BMS), including charge/discharge circuits, safety monitoring, and energy optimization. Ensure reliable power distribution for motors, sensors, and communication systems. * Sensor Integration & Signal Processing: Integrate a variety of sensors (e.g., GPS, IMUs, LiDAR, cameras) into drone systems. Apply signal conditioning and signal processing techniques for accurate data collection and transmission. * Embedded Systems & Firmware Development: Design and develop embedded systems for drone control, including firmware programming for microcontrollers. Familiarity with languages like C, C++, and Python is essential. * Motor Control & Actuation: Develop and implement motor control systems for brushless DC motors (BLDC) using Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) and PWM techniques. Ensure efficient and stable flight control. * Wireless Communication Systems: Work on wireless communication systems for real-time drone control and telemetry. Experience with RF transceivers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and long-range communication systems is required. * Flight Control & Autopilot Systems: Contribute to the development and integration of flight control systems, including stabilizing algorithms and autopilot functionality. Familiarity with gyroscopes, accelerometers, PID controllers, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus. * Real-Time Data Processing & Video Systems: Develop systems for real-time data processing, including video streaming and image processing. Experience with FPV systems and video encoding (H.264) for live feeds is desirable. * Testing, Calibration & Diagnostics: Conduct rigorous testing and calibration of electrical systems, sensors, and power components. Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers to ensure systems meet specifications. * Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with industry safety standards, such as EMC and electrical safety protocols. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for UAV operation in various environments.

Qualifications:
Qualifications: * Education: A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field. Technical Proficiency: Skills:
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical system design and integration, preferably within UAV or aerospace industries.
* Strong knowledge of circuit design, PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer).
* Experience with embedded systems, motor control, and sensor integration.
* Proficiency in power systems, battery management, and wireless communication.
* Knowledge of FPGA and RTOS is a plus.
* Experience with real-time data processing and video systems (FPV, H.264) is a bonus.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
* Experience with design tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar software.
* Knowledge of EMC, safety protocols, and industry standards.
